Bought this sight for a Ruger 22/45 pistol. At first I was disappointed that it didn't have an on/off switch and no manual brightness switch, but after taking it outside in various lighting conditions the dot did not wash out and as long as you remember to replace the cover after shooting the battery should last a while. On the first trip to the range, the two allen screws holding the sight to the base came loose and made the sight inoperable after only 20-30 rounds. I put a little loctite on those screws and got the sight working again but it's POI was horribly off target. Many attempts later, I got it close to zeroed in but could never quite get it right. For a plinker pistol it's ok, but don't expect this to be a cheap Burris Fastfire or Trijicon RMR.

After playing around at the range with my new 22 pistol I decided it was time to start collecting gadgets for it.
The open sights on the gun work fine but my glasses don't get along with having to focus on the sights and then shift my head to focus on the target. Bifocals stink at the gun range. I will get "normal" glasses if I intend to go shooting much more often.
There's my reason for choosing a red dot sight.
Here's my reason for choosing this red dot sight...
First, this sight received good reviews from other Amazon customers. This is important as I find Amazon's customers to be frank and reasonable in their product reviews. People who buy from Amazon seem to take the time to actually care about what they are buying.
Second, this is about the lowest profile sight I could find without skipping up into the nose-bleed prices. :)
The sight arrived in a nice package (shipped quickly and well-packed by Delta Team Tactical) and included a screwdriver and index wheel for adjusting the azimuth and elevation, and setting the lock-down screws. The instructions are brief and clear, please pay attention to issue about un-setting and resetting the lock-down screws when adjusting. It also included a spare battery and a cover for protection (and to shut off the red dot LED).
I really like the knob for attaching and removing the sight from the rail on my gun.
I have found that the sight does not lose it's "calibration" when removed and replaced. This is great on account of how I carry the gun to and from the range. A small bag is all I use and having to protect the mounted sight would be a pain in the back-side.
This is a solid and compact sight that is making me happy! I expect my shooting partners to be buying these for themselves :)

great product. bought it to put on my ar-15 but when it came in it truely is a mini red dot sight. could not use it on my ar-15 cause my pop up sight wont work with it but it works great for my pistol. so keep that in mind. product wise its great and seller ships fast.
