Having just shelled out the big bucks to finally get an ACOG, I decided I needed a set of caps to try to protect (and keep dust and fingerprints off of) the glass, particularly when not in use and in storage. I found these to be an inexpensive way to try to do that. First off, you need the killflash just to mount the exit end cap. Secondly, these really aren't particularly special in any way at all. They just stretch around the frame of the optic and don't particularly hold tightly once they do, particularly to the killflash, which has a pair of ribs right where the cap attaches. This leaves the exiting side cap ring as more of an oval, thereby making it want to pop open. At least that is the end with the secondary protection of the killflash itself. So they aren't particularly fancy or precise, but they do the job.

I love this accessory execept for one thing...it is a pain to put on! At first I thought it was the wrong size for my ACOG, but after some research I found that it is just tight fitting. So keep that in mind if you get them. There is a certain amount of force and finesse needed to attach them.

You have to heat them up with a blow dryer to get on. however, they work great. Use in conjuction with TA91Tenebraex killFLASH AntiReflection Device. Great way to protect your investment.
