EOTECH G33.STS (third gen) is great compared to the G23 (second gen). The G33.STS has the switch to side feature so you dont have the lever to fumble with on the second gen G23.
Easy quick attach locking lever and included but optional raised base mount for lower 1/3 co witnessed holographic sights.
This unit is waterproof, solid, and easy to use. Best of all it does not magnify the 1 MOA dot on the EOTECH Sight. Works seamlessly!

Bought this to go with my EXPS3-4. The build quality does not make me regret dumping almost $600 into this fine piece of hardware. I absolutely LOVE it. It doesn't seem like much on paper but boy does it make a difference. It does increase the size of the reticle of the eotech but it also sharpens it exponentially. The Eotech reticle looks like it's printed from a cheap dot matrix printer when you look through it non magnified. Slap on the G33 and BAM!! Looks like it came out of a high resolution production color laser printer. I would buy this over again in a heart beat.

A very well-manufactured, precision piece of equipment, however, the eye-relief SUCKS!! It needs about another inch of eye relief to achieve a comfortable, natural shooting position while standing, unless you remove your rear back-up sight completely and slide the G33 all the way back, which defeats the purpose of being able to flip the magnifier to the side and out of the way! Come on! For that price, I expect better. I am an average size person with very common dimensions; 5'10" 170 lbs and I should not have to stretch my neck awkwardly and uncomfortably forward to be able to see the full field of view. I have not decided whether I will keep the G33 and deal with the ridiculously lacking eye relief, or return it.
In all fairness, I will say that shooting from prone, sitting, or kneeling is fine, where your head naturally moves forward with your body position. This is supposed to be CQB equipment though, which means standing, and moving.
